At Roam Art Designs, our mission is to inspire artists to get outside and make art.
Whether you're on a busy urban street or in the solitude of the wilderness, our compact and organized bags carry the supplies you need to make art wherever you are. We use innovative design features, technical fabrics, and careful craftsmanship to create art bags you'll love to use.
We are a cottage brand founded by Julie Monroe in 2021.
During the Covid-19 lockdown in 2020, Julie took up hiking and urban sketching and soon fell in love with both. She found endless amounts of amazing gear for hiking, but the art world had little to offer when it came to bags for carrying art supplies. Luckily, Julie is a softgoods designer by profession, having designed for top brands like Oakley, Nike, and OGIO. She set to work designing and sewing art bag prototypes until she arrived at a solution that met her needs and high standards. Now she's sharing her bags with every artist.

All Roam art bags are designed and sewn from our home base in Southern California. We put our years of industry experience to work when choosing the best quality materials and trims for our bags. Our team tests and proves our current and future designs by making art locally on quaint downtown streets or the trails crisscrossing our favorite backyard hiking hill.
